I have a dual-boot laptop so I can show folks that it can be done. Occasionally I have to boot to Windows and then again on other occasions I need to get at some file in my /home directory on my /dev/hda4 partition. Which is, of course, formatted ext3. In the past I would have to have another way to access this file as from Windows I would not have been able to access any of my Linux partitions on the drive.
Enter explore2fs. It's a handy utility that you install on your Windows install that will allow you to explore and copy form your ext2, ext3 partitions.
That's handy. --machiner 20 Nov 07 It's all....Autumn outside.
