Not much new going on, lately, except turning a lot of folks onto Linux.  I attended the jaunty release party a couple of weekends ago, and got a few really neat freebies, not the least of which is a really great pen.

And for a free pen, it writes well.  That was a surprise.

I'm still trying to think of what I want to do next.  I'm so not used to this, everything on my PC working famously, no issues, no lockups, no blue screens, everything just working.  Almost makes using a PC a boring endeavor, when it just does everything you want it to do.

Looking at laptops and I am pulled toward HP and Dell.  Open to others.  I want at least a 15" screen, but 15" to 17" is good.

Speaking tot he folks at the release party, most say HP and Dell will work with you up front, and save you the MS tax.  Sounds like we may have a winner.
