So, if you are into reading, and following HP, they aren't marching to the Android beat.  They have grabbed up PALM for the webOS, according to many analysts on Wall Street.  Well, last week I replaced and I do believe permanently retired the Motorola Razr X.  As a tethered Data connection for a home PC, it had function.  But as anything more than a few years old in the technology world, it was aging fast.

I asked at my Verizon store, and my agent helped fit me to a Palm Pre Plus for this secondary phone with a definitive purpose.  Anyway, long story short, I didn't know such a great phone could be so well hidden.  And teamed with verizon, it comes with a 5 Gb for life, free Mobile Hotspot Tether function.  That's 2.5 times their data plan allowance, at free cost trying to move the phone.  So, I am thinking dog city, but whoa, I was wrong.

The Pre Plus multi-tasks as good as any phone I have ever used.  The interface takes about 30 minutes to figure your way through, and it is suddenly not only easy to love, you really appreciate the overall simplicity.  All in all, if you have a need for a Mobile Hotspoot, need an low cost smartphone with average smartphone use, this may just be the best phone out.

Very good phone, and out of pocket pricing of $0 makes you at least have to give it a look.  the mobile hotspot was the deal changer I needed, and it rocks for the purpose I got it for.  Thanks, PALM, and HP!

So even though it isn't Android, it does show there are folks moving Linux to new heights in many applications and flavors, webOS is just another great example.
