In September of 'ought-six I ran a quickie poll because I was curious about a thing. I wondered what the rough age of the visitors to this site was, is. I figured mid-twenties would be right, but as you can see from the image, I was wrong. Which is nothing unusual. As I write this it's 08:11 in the AM and already I've been wrong today, twice. It's a gift. Leaving the poll up for any great length of time was out of the question. I don't want to bug my visitors. It's obnoxious nd intrusive and when I see them on sites I usually think the webby is a rookie and back away from the site quickly -- Next! So I only kept it up for a week. Long enough? Who knows. Perhaps the real core visitor group shares a common "trait" like ...um, observing a journey or some "rite" during the late weeks of September every year. Maybe they are all 20-30 or 45-55 and their return would have significantly altered the results that I got. Perhaps no. See, it's all fluff. But I got results nonetheless and the image spells it out. Images that spell, that's a good one. Can I get out of here now? --machiner 1 dec 06 08:14 AM
