If you've been using GNU/Linux for any length of time you're likely familiar with the speed at which things get 'fixed'. I've seen it a bunch over the past decade and it never fails to make me smile. The DDs don't work at the speed of 'business', they actually get stuff done.

Last night at ~ 22:15 EST my wireless connection dropped. Being that I was ready to go veg out on some cartoons anyway, I left the issue for this morning. I'll tell you, though, I did try to reconnect one time and the error I got was that I was using the wrong password. Not true but it could wait 'till the morning.

This morning I reset my router. I hate doing it because I forgot my dyndns password, but, whatever - I did it. I know where to find that password... Of course, that didn't work because there was no problem with my router. I brought my laptop upstairs to use the boy's ethernet connection to see about updates.

Sure enough wpasupplicant was upgraded. Sure enough that fixed the problem. I called out to my boy, who was in the back dining room messing about with something while he waited to go catch the bus, and told him how wicked it all was. Yeah, yeah, he's heard it all before. The boy was unimpressed. But I wasn't. I'm never unimpressed with Debian.
